Elon Musk debuts ‘Grok’ AI bot to rival ChatGPT

Meet Grok, the first technology out of Elon Musk’s new AI company, xAI.

Elon Musk's new AI company, xAI, has launched its first product: a chatbot named Grok. Grok is still in its early stages of development, but Musk has said that it is designed to be more conversational and informative than other AI chatbots, and that it has a "rebellious streak" and a penchant for sarcastic responses.

Grok is modeled after the AI character in the science fiction comedy series The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
